Project Example:
Foster Care Transition Services:
Education Source serves as a vocational consultant for youth in long-term foster care. Education Source helps foster children identify career and post-secondary educational aspirations, and successfully guides them toward achieving their goals. Over the last ten years, the project has evolved beyond serving youth in San Antonio only, to working with youth throughout the state of Texas. Clients (past and present) include BCFS/HHS Community Services Division, the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and Casey Family Programs.

  • Staffing/Retention Services. Development of job placement programs to include job readiness/training, job placement and retention services for different populations.

Project Example:
Enterprise Foundation:
"Home Depot Jobs Pilot Project"
Identify, recruit, train, place and retain Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) recipients and non-custodial parents in jobs with local employers. Implemented Department of Labor eligibility criteria and provided follow-up services. Provided temporary/full-time employment services for all Home Depot stores in San Antonio. (2000-2004). The program was so successful that it expanded to include H-E-B, Holiday Inn and UPS.
